About the source design & this demo

Based on LLM/Coasters/coaster_hex_tiling_pad_material_test_set, version 3, inspected in Autodesk Fusion. The saved cork-pad component has 61 flush yellow inlay bodies and a dark base. Default dimensions and RGB colours reproduce that top pattern; partial hexagons are clipped by its circular boundary.

The original uses a 7 mm tiling-cell radius and a 6.35 mm tile radius, giving a 12.7 mm tile width and an approximately 1.126 mm line. This demo keeps the overall diameter, border and thickness fixed. Hex size and line thickness change the lattice spacing, so the number of tiles changes naturally.

The preview shows the top design and an illustrative coaster edge. The underside pad pocket and exact 1 mm lower-edge fillet are not modelled here. SVG and JSON exports are design references, not validated print files. Colours on screen are approximate filament colours.
